Another week has passed and so has another new episode. I decided to wait a few days to gather my thoughts on the second episode. I’m not sure if it helped me or not.
Compared to the first episode of the season, it was tamer but continued to set the grounds for what is to come. With such a large cast, I believe they are doing a great job.
Arya can’t pretend to be a boy and I wonder how much longer before everyone else besides Gendry knows. Gendry needs to watch his back because Joffery wants to make sure no one is there to claim his throne. Varys and Tyrion threated each other in the most nicest way ever. Funny how they threaten in the most roundabout way ever. The council meetings sets up the stage for the White Walkers to through everyone off. Whenever they decided to cross the wall that is. I doubt very much the Night’s Watch will be able to hold them north of the wall.
That scene then leads us to the Samwell and the other guys talking about sick man who sleeps with his daughters and what happens to the boys. The direwolf, Ghost barks at the one girls and Samwell chases him off. This leads him and the girl to ask Jon about helping her to escape with the baby she carries. Jon said he would not help her. Love how Samwell makes Jon feel guilty over not helping her.
Daenerys waits for one of the men to return in the Red Waste. One of them does return but with his head chopped off. They have no idea who did it.
Theon, aka Errand Boy, is such a jerk with women. He wants any girl he can get his hands on. The girl who offered to take him to his father’s castle was his sister and he fondled her on their way there. I don’t know what is worse him or her for letting him do it. Theon does pass on Robb’s message, but Theon’s father won’t be given his throne back. He will take it back from them.
Tyrion is speaking to the commander of the City’s Watch, Lord Janos. They talk about what happened to the previous Hand of the King and why Lord Janos did it. Because Tyrion cannot trust Lord Janos, he sends Lord Janos away from the city and places Bronn as the new commander.
Davos Seaworth is trying to convince a pirate to help them take King’s Landing with the use of his ships. The pirate will only agree if he can have the Queen for himself. Money and riches is all good, but really, the queen too. It’s almost funny. Almost.
The real reason why Cersei hates Tyrion is revealed. I’m not at all surprise it is because their mother died giving birth to Tyrion. Cersei hit below the belt after Tyrion asked about the rumors of her and Jaime. Yes, those two will be at each other’s throats until one of them dies.
After Melisandre offers Stannis a son, Stannis decides to take her offer of sleeping with her. What a weak man to fall for a son because his wife couldn’t give him one. But I give props to Melisandre for finding his weakness.
Finally, Jon follows the disgusting man(I don’t know his name and don’t want to it) into the woods, who is holding a baby. Turns out the baby is left on the ground and of the White Walkers takes it away. But before Jon could follow, the disgusting man hits him over the head and we are left hanging until next week.
That is the end for episode two. Until next week!
